Johor-Singapore RTS Link Opening Pushed to February 2027

The Johor Bahru-Singapore RTS Link is now expected to begin passenger service in February 2027, rather than December 2026. Singapore and Malaysia authorities said the cross-border rail line needs more time for testing, independent safety certification and regulatory approvals. For commuters counting on a new rail connection between the two cities, the wait just got longer; the next milestone is completing system tests and trial runs by Dec 31.
