Fuel excise relief extended: The Dáil voted 104 to 49 today to defer planned increases in motor fuel excise duty originally set for September and October. The cuts to petrol and diesel excise will now be phased out gradually from November through the end of February, giving households and businesses a bit more breathing room at the pump.
