BJP passed a scathing resolution on August 22 condemning the Congress Working Committee's August 19 decision to sing only two stanzas of Vande Mataram at party events, calling it "vote-bank politics" and "communal appeasement."
The resolution, adopted at the first meeting of BJP president Nitin Nabin's new national team, declared "no compromise" on the song's honour and announced a nationwide campaign to promote all six stanzas.
