The Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly descended into chaos on Tuesday as ruling National Conference and opposition BJP clashed over public holidays for historical figures. NC MLA Abdul Majid Larmi demanded restoration of holidays on Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah's birth and death anniversaries, while BJP members protested with slogans of "Maharaja Bahadur ki Jai". The confrontation disrupted proceedings for nearly 15 minutes.
