The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Communications and IT has issued a 3-day ultimatum to Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, demanding an "unqualified apology" for the temporary removal of PM Narendra Modi's Facebook video.
The committee, chaired by Nishikant Dubey, warned that Meta may lose its "safe harbour" protection under Section 79 of the IT Act, which currently shields it from liability for user-generated content.
