FDA Clears New COVID Vaccines as Studies Link Diet to Fat Absorption and Dementia Risk

The FDA has approved four updated COVID-19 vaccines for the 2026–2027 season, all targeting the JN.1-lineage XFG variant. The vaccines, from Moderna, Novavax-Sanofi, and Pfizer-BioNTech, are approved for adults 65 and older and younger high-risk individuals. This is the first major seasonal update since the variant became globally dominant.
