Canadian Film and Streaming: Oscar Submission, Criterion Store, and September Lineups

Canada's Oscar hopeful is here. Telefilm Canada has selected "Nina Roza" as its submission for the best international feature category at the 99th Academy Awards. The film, directed by Geneviève Dulude-De Celles, follows a Bulgarian-Canadian art consultant investigating a supposed child prodigy's viral abstract paintings. It premiered at the Berlinale earlier this year, winning the Silver Bear for best screenplay, and had a theatrical release in Quebec in April....
