Singapore’s Asian Games Day: Historic Taekwondo Bronze and a Golf Lead

Singapore’s Asian Games campaign delivered a historic taekwondo bronze on Thursday: Darren Yap became the first Singaporean taekwondo exponent to win a Games medal. Sprinter Shanti Pereira also made history, becoming the first woman to retain the Asian Games 200m title. Two different events, one unusually strong day for Singapore’s record book.
