India Auto & EV: EV Boom Meets Festival Demand, PLI Wins, and Fuel Supply Shifts

Indian dealers are entering the festive season with a month of inventory, but the models buyers actually want are on backorder. Waiting periods for high-demand electric cars have jumped to 3-4 months from just one month five months ago, while the TVS iQube e-scooter carries a 4-5 month queue. The surge in EV and CNG enquiries, up more than 30%, is growing at twice the pace of conventional ICE vehicles.
